  • Bone-In Pork Chops
  • Olive Oil
  • Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper

How to make bone in pork chops on the grill:

  • Prepare the gas grill. Preheat your grill to 450 degrees F.
  • Rub the meat with oil. Rub the olive oil on both sides of the pork chops.
  • Mix together the seasonings. In a small bowl, whisk together all the seasonings: paprika, salt and pepper.
  • Add the seasoning to pork chops. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture on each side of the pork chops and rub it into the pork.
  • Grill the meat. Place the pork chops directly on the grill (on direct heat). Grill for 2 minutes per side. Then move the pork chops to indirect heat (upper rack).

  • Reduce the heat. Turn the grill to medium high heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

Bone in pork chops take about 20 minutes total to grill. They grill on direct heat for 2 minutes per side.

Make sure you always do this in the thickest part of the meat. It is important for accuracy.

  • Always use a meat thermometer to know the meat is cooked. You do not want to overcook the pork or they will be dry and tough.
  • Don’t omit the salt in the dry rub. Salt helps to prevent the meat from drying out. It also tenderizes the meat and helps the pork chops retain water. This in turn results in perfect pork chops.
  • Allow the pork chops 5 to 10 minutes to rest before serving. This will keep all the juices inside and make it even more moist and delicious.
  • Meat will continue to cook after you take it off the grill during the resting period. Some people suggest taking it off the grill once it reaches 135 because it will continue to cook and reach 145 while resting.
